I thought we could revisit ‘The Boogie Times‘ right quick before the next show which is Vintage Crates’ One Year Anniversary! Kinda hard to believe it’s only been a year.
This show is promised to be the show to end all shows. It will feature segments from each VC series (‘The Boogie Times‘ , ‘The Librarian Confessions‘, ‘Forty Deuce Cinema‘, ect) as well, of course, as essential [astral projects] original music from Js.One, ‘Nova, & The Nubians.
‘Year One‘, as it is called, will be a two-part anniversary show. “Side A” will be released next week, and “Side B” the week after that. DON’T SLEEP ON THIS ONE.

Nova threw this pretty ill guestmix together in celebration of my birthday which is tomorrow. It’s pretty much a juxtaposition of scenic library melodies and some boogie, funk, and jazzy joints I’m feeling. I’d say it pretty accurately encapsulates some different aspects of my personality. Sort of feels like a short dialog-less film…definitely cool.
Next week we’re back to regularly scheduled programing w/ Episode #33: The Riddim Selector which is a collection of some of my favorite reggae riddims and the different tunes which came as a result of them. Also, be on the look out for new installments in the Forty Deuce & Legends Of The True-School Series which will be dropping soon!

A new Vintage Crates series: ‘Forty Deuce Cinema‘. The first episode was the Halloween Special Grindhouse Horror. This one is all about that grindhouse (mostly blaxploitation) funk. Also, in the ‘Librarian Confessions‘ has been added to the Mini-Series section.
Stay tuned, there are some hot shows coming up. They will be dropping weekly as the upcoming Js.One & ‘Nova albums are in production.
